Wizard
4.1
Overview
Use the wizard setup
screens to configure your system for Internet access with the information
given to you by your ISP.

4.2
Internet Access Wizard Setup

After you enter the password to access the web configurator, select
Go to Wizard setup
and click
Apply
. Otherwise, click the wizard icon (
) in the top right corner of the
web configurator
to go to the wizards.

Your ZyXEL device attempts to detect your DSL connection and your connection type.

The following screen appears if a connection is not detected. Check your hardware
connections and click
Restart the INTERNET/WIRELESS SETUP Wizard
to
return to the wizard welcome screen. If you still cannot connect, click
Manually
configure your Internet connection
. Follow the directions in the wizard and enter
your Internet setup information as provided to you by your ISP. See
Section 4.2.1
on page 55
for more details.
If you would like to skip your Internet setup and configure the wireless LAN
settings, leave
Yes
selected and click
Next
.

The following screen displays if a PPPoE or PPPoA connection is detected. Enter
your Internet account information (username, password and/or service name)
exactly as provided by your ISP. Then click
Next

The following screen appears if the ZyXEL device detects a connection but not the
connection type. Click

manually configure the ZyXEL Device for Internet access.

Manual Configuration

If the ZyXEL Device fails to detect your DSL connection type but the physical line is
connected, enter your Internet access information in the wizard screen exactly as your
service provider gave it to you. Leave the defaults in any fields for which you were not
given information.
