2.1 Conﬁguring TCP/IP

This procedure describes how to conﬁgure

TCP

/

IP

.

Context

The computer address needs to be conﬁgured in the same network segment as the ZXHN

H108N address so that the ZXHN H108N device can access the ZXHN H108N.

The default network settings for the ZXHN H108N are as follows:

l

IP address: 192.168.1.33

l

Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

l

Default gateway: 192.168.1.1

Steps

1.

Conﬁgure TCP/IP.

a. In the

Local Area Connection Properties

dialog box, select

Internet Protocol

(TCP/IP)

.

b. Click

Properties

.

The

Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties

dialog box is

displayed.

c. Select

Use the following IP address

.

Set

IP address

,

Subnet mask

, and

Default gateway

. For example, set the IP address to 192.168.1.33, the subnet

mask to 255.255.255.0, and the default gateway to 192.168.1.1.

d. Click

OK

The settings may change with the network requirements.

Use the

Ping

command to check the connection between the computer and ZXHN

H108N.

If the computer fails to ping the ZXHN H108N, verify the following:

l

The Ethernet cable between the ZXHN H108N and the computer is correctly

connected.

l

The ZXHN H108N is powered on.

l

The network adapter driver is correctly installed on the computer.

l

The TCP/IP settings on the computer are correctly conﬁgured.

2.2 Logging In to the Device

You can conﬁgure the ZXHN H108N through web pages.

Prerequisite

The ZXHN H108N is properly connected and the computer is correctly conﬁgured.

Context

Web pages provide different conﬁguration permissions for different users. For the user

permissions, refer to

Table 2-1
