Reset/WPS
Reset the Smart Repeater to factory default settings (clear
all settings). Press this button and hold for MORE THAN 10
seconds to restore all settings to factory defaults.
If pressed for less than 5 seconds, the Smart Repeater will
simply reboot.

Chapter II: Hardware System and Network Setup
2-1 Build your network (Initial hardware setup)
Please follow the following instructions to build the network connection
between the Hi-Gain Wireless-N Dual Radio Smart Repeater and your
computers and other network devices:
1. Connect the included antennas to your Smart Repeater.
2. Connect the power adapter to the Smart Repeater
3. Connect all ‘wired’ users to the HW2R1 via the Wired Local Area Network
(LAN) ports in grey.
For wireless user’s scan for the SSID of the Smart
Repeater (Smart_Repeater) and connect.
You must be within range of
the Smart Repeater before connecting.
Wireless Connection:
4. Check to see the activity of the LEDs on the front panel. ‘PWR’ LED should
be on, LAN LEDs should be on if the computer / network device connected
to the respective port of the Smart Repeater is powered on and correctly
connected. If PWR LED is not on, or any LED you expected is not on,
please recheck the power connection, or jump to
‘4-2 Troubleshooting’
for
possible reasons and solutions.

Traditional Router Setup (Optional):
1. If you do not plan on using the Wireless Internet Connection and
instead plan on using a traditional wired modem connection (such as
Cable or DSL) then you will need to attach the Ethernet cable from your
modem to the blue ‘Modem’ port on the Smart Repeater.
This will
allow the Smart Repeater to function as a traditional wireless router.

2-2 Accessing the Web Setup Menu
After your Smart Repeater has been connected and powered the next
step is to access the Web Menu for initial configuration.
To do this, your computer must be able to get an IP address automatically
(use dynamic IP address). If it’s set to use static IP address, or you are unsure,
please follow the following instructions to configure your computer to use
dynamic IP address:

If the Web Menu appears you can skip this step and go to step 2-3.

need to enter the following default login and password to access the ‘Quick
Setup’ menu:
