4.12 How to Block Facebook Service Accessed by the Users via
Web Content Filter / URL Content Filter
There are two ways to block the facebook service, Web Content Filter and URL Content
Filter.
Web Content Filter,
Benefits: Easily and quickly implement the category/website that you want to block.
Note: License is required.
URL Content Filter,
Benefits: Free, flexible for customize webpage.
Note: Manual setting (e.g., one keyword for one website.)
I. Via Web Content Filter
1.
Make sure the Web Content Filter (powered by Commtouch) license is valid.

CSM >> Web Content Filter Profile
to create a WCF profile. Check
Social
Networking
with Action
, Block
.
3.
Enable this profile in
Firewall>>General Setup>>Default Rule
.
4.
Next time when someone accesses facebook via this router, the web page would be
blocked and the following message would be displayed instead.

II. Via URL Content Filter
A. Block the web page containing the word of “Facebook”
1.
Open
Object Settings>>Keyword Object
. Click an index number to open the setting
page.

In the field of

facebook
. Configure the settings as the following
figure.

CSM>>URL Content Filter Profile
. Click an index number to open the setting
page.

Configure the settings as the following figure.

When you finished the above steps, click

. Then, open
Firewall>>General Setup

. Now, users cannot open any web page with the word
