Right-Click
Right-clicking on a device will allow the user to perform various functions, depending on the role of the Switch in the SIM
group and the icon associated with it.

Candidate Switch Icon

Add to group
- add a candidate to a group. Clicking this option will reveal the following dialog box for the user to enter a
password for authentication from the Candidate Switch before being added to the SIM group. Click
OK
to enter the
password or
Cancel
to exit the dialog box.

Property

This window holds the following information:
Parameter
Description
Device Name
This field will display the Device Name of the Switches in the SIM group configured by
the user. If no Device Name is configured by the name, it will be given the name
default and tagged with the last six digits of the MAC Address to identify it.
Module Name
Displays the full module name of the Switch that was right-clicked.
MAC Address
Displays the MAC Address of the corresponding Switch.
Remote Port No.
Displays the number of the physical port on the MS or CaS that the CS is connected
to. The CS will have no entry in this field.
Local Port No.
Displays the number of the physical port on the CS that the MS or CaS is connected
to. The CS will have no entry in this field.
Port Speed
Displays the connection speed between the CS and the MS or CaS
Click
Close
to close the
Property
window.
Menu Bar
The
Single IP Management
window contains a menu bar for device configurations, as seen below.

The five menus on the menu bar are as follows.
File
Print Setup
- will view the image to be printed.
Print Topology
- will print the topology map.
Preference
- will set display properties, such as polling interval, and the views to open at SIM startup.
