4.11 Configuring a Dynamic DNS
This procedure describes how to configure a dynamic DNS. The host with a dynamic IP
address can then provide the domain name service.
Context
Dynamic Domain Name Server (
DDNS
) enables a server (such as Web, FTP, game server)
to be a host by using a domain name (www.xxx.com) and a dynamic IP address assigned
by the broadband Internet Service Provider (
ISP
). When the DDNS service is enabled, a
computer can access a server by entering the host name of the server rather than the IP
address.
Steps

Port mapping refers to map multiple ports to a PVC and bridge groups. Each group works
as an independent network.
