2. Installation
1.
Verify that you have an Internet connection.
2.
Power off your modem.
3.
Disconnect the network cable from your modem and your computer.
4.
Connect your modem to the TEW-818DRU's Internet port (yellow).
5.
Connect your computer to one of the wireless router's LAN ports.

Verify that the status LED indicators on the front of the router to confirm that the device is fully
functional:
Power (Green), Internet (Green/Blinking), Wireless N (Green), Wireless AC (Green)
and
LAN (1, 2, 3, 4) (Green/Blinking)

Note
: It is recommended that you configure the Wireless Router from a wired computer.

Connect the power adapter to the router and then to a power outlet.

Power on your modem. Wait until the LEDs indicate that modem is fully functional. For more
information on your modem's LEDs, please refer with your modem's user's guide.

Open your web browser; the login screen will automatically appear. If the login screen does not
appear, type http://tew-818dru into the address bar of the web browser and press enter.

Select the desired Language. For your
security, we have configured each router with a predefined
user name and password. You can find
the default user name and password on the labels at the
side and bottom of the router.Enter the User Name and Password and then click
Login
.
Note
: You can also access the device using the default IP address (http://192.168.10.1).

: EU models have an on/off switch. Please move the power switch to the “On” position.

and then click

Open a new tab in your web browser and enter in a URL (e.g. www.trendnet.com) to verify that you
have Internet connection
Note:
For added security we have pre-encrypted each TEW-818DRU with a unique Wi-Fi Name (SSID)
and Wi-Fi Key. You can find these pre-configured settings on the labels at the side and bottom of
the router.
You will use this information to connect wireless to the router. To change the Wi-Fi Key,
refer to the product manual.
If the wireless router is reset, the Wi-Fi Key and the Wi-Fi Name will
also reset to factory defaults.
To log back in to the wireless router, you will need to know the router's user name and password.
