DHCP MODE
You
can
set
your
Mac
to
DHCP
by
selecting
DHCP
from
t he
Configure
drop
down
list.
After
clicking Apply, your Mac’s IP Address will now be automatically assigned from t he Gateway.
STATIC MODE
1.
From t he Configure drop down list, you can set your computer to Static IP mode by selecting
t he option Manually.
The following steps show how to assign a Static IP address to your Mac

To access t he dialog box t hat allows you to configure your network connection, click on Start >
Control Panel > Network Connections. Then right mouse click on t he Local Area Connection and
select Properties. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) t hen select Properties
DHCP MODE
You can set your PC to DHCP mode by selecting Obtain an IP address automatically in t he dialog
box shown below.

STATIC IP MODE
To configure your Gateway manually, your PC must have a static IP address wit hin t he Gateway’s
subnet.
The
following
steps
show
how
to
assign
a
Static
IP
address
to
your
PC
using
subnet
10.0.0.x.

Select Use t he following IP Address. Choose an IP address between 10.0.0.1 – 10.0.0.±54
NOTE:
The Ip address of t he gateway is
10.0.0.138. (default), so t he PC must be set wit h a different Ip. In
t he case below, t he PC’s IP address is set as 10.0.0.1

Set t he Router and DNS server field to
10.0.0.138 (The gateway’s IP address).

DEFAULT SETTINGS
The following are t he default settings for t he Gateway

Local (LAN) access (username: admin, password: admin)

Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server on LAN interface: enabled
Technical Note:
During power on, t he device initializes all settings to default values. It will t hen read t he configuration
profile from t he permanent storage section of flash memory. The default attributes are overwritten when
identical attributes wit h different values are configured. The configuration profile in permanent storage
can be created via t he web user interface or telnet user interface, or ot her management protocols. The
factory default configuration can be restored eit her by pushing t he reset button for more t han five seconds
until t he power LED blinks or by clicking t he Restore Default Configuration option in t he Restore Default
Settings screen (see section 7.7.3).
