Note
:
Gather all information related to your Internet Connection before you start.
If necessary,
contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Verify that the following panel lights are on:
Power (on), LAN (blinking), WAN (blinking)
and
WLAN (blinking).
Cable/DSL Modem
Internet
1.
Verify that you have an Internet connection
when connecting your computer directly to the
Cable or DSL modem or Ethernet jack.
For
example, open your browser (e.g. Internet
Explorer) and type in a URL (e.g.
http://www.trendnet.com) in the address bar.
2.
Power down your Cable or DSL modem and
disconnect the RJ-45 cable from your computer
to the TEW-691GR's WAN port.
The other end
of the cable should remain connected to your
Cable or DSL modem.
3.
Connect one end of the provided RJ-45 cable
to one of the TEW-691GR’s LAN ports. Connect
the other end of the cable to the computer’s
Ethernet port.
4.
Connect the AC Power Adapter to the
TEW-691GR and then to a power outlet. Power
up your Cable or DSL modem.
5.
Move the power switch to the On position.

3. Configure the wireless router
Note:
It is recommended that you configure the Wireless Router from a wired computer.
1.
Open your web browser, type
in the Address bar, and
then press
Enter
.
2.
Enter the User Name and Password, and then
click
OK
.
User name:
admin
By default, there is no password.
Note: User name is case sensitive.
4.
Configure the settings based on information
provided by your ISP. Then click
Apply
.
3.
Click
Network
and then click
WAN Setting.
Then select the proper Internet
Connection
Type
.
5.
Click
Wireless
and then click
Basic
. Enter the
desired
Wireless Name (SSID)
and then click
Apply
. The default
Wireless Name (SSID)
is
TRENDnet691.
