802.1Q VLAN
In case of
PPPoE
or
EoA
ADSL connections and of any type of VDSL or Ethernet connection, the Ethernet
frames can optionally by tagged with a 802.1Q VLAN ID. This way, multiple connections can share the
same ATM PVC, VDSL or Ethernet WAN port, separated at the Ethernet level using normal Ethernet
VLANs.
In order to activate this functionality for the connection, select the
Enabled
checkbox and
specify the corresponding
VLAN ID
. Valid
VLAN ID
values are
1
to
4094
.
Additionally, all outgoing Ethernet frames through this connection can also be marked with a specific
802.1p Class of Service (
CoS
) value for Quality of Service on the Ethernet level. Valid
VLAN CoS
values
are between
0
and
7
.
