Internet Connection Setup Wizard
If you did not initially choose to install your router with the
Quick Setup Wizard
, you can click on
Internet Connection
Setup Wizard
from the
Setup
>
Internet
screen.
This wizard is designed to guide you through a step-by-step
process to configure your new D-Link router and connect to
the Internet.
Click
Next
to continue.

In order to secure your router, enter a new password. Click
Next
to continue.
Select your time zone from the drop-down menu and click
Next
to continue.
Select your Internet connection type. You can select
DHCP
Connection (Dynamic IP Address)
if your Internet connection
automatically provides you with an IP Address. This option is
commonly used for cable modem services.
Click
Next
to continue.

If you selected
DHCP Connection (Dynamic IP Address)
you can
click on
Clone Your PC’s MAC Address
to copy your computer’s
MAC address to your router. Click
Next
to continue.
If you selected
PPPoE
, enter your PPPoE username and password
and click
Next
to continue.
Note:
Make sure to remove your PPPoE software from your computer.
The software is no longer needed and will not work through a router.

, enter your PPTP username, password, and
other information supplied by your ISP. Click
Next
to continue.
If you selected
L2TP
, enter your L2TP username, password, and

, enter the IP and DNS settings supplied by

When the setup process is completed, you will see this screen.
