Power on the computer. After windows boots up, insert the DCM-202 CD-ROM. If the Welcome window opens, click
Close
.
Plug
the other end of the USB cable into an available USB slot on your computer. It is strongly recommended that you do not plug this
modem into an USB hub.
Installing the Software Drivers
This section explains how to install the cable modem using the USB Connections with the Windows
®
Vista
™
, XP, or 2000 operating
system (OS). Do not install these drivers if you are using the Ethernet connection.
