“IPCONFIG /RENEW”

4. Verify that your IP address is now
192.168.1.xxx,
your Subnet Mask is
255.255.255.0
and your Default Gateway is
192.168. 1.1.

“OK”
to close the

window.
5. Type
“Exit”
and close window.

1. Pull down the Apple Menu. Click
“Control Panels”
and select TCP/IP.

dialog box, make sure that

is selected in the

field. Make

“Using DHCP Server”
is already selected in the
“Configure”
field and close

3. Another box will appear asking whether you want to save your

settings. Click
Save.

1. Open Internet Explorer and click the stop button. Click
“Edit”

“Preferences”

and uncheck all checkboxes and click

“Direct connection to the Internet.”

Step. 3 Obtain IP Settings from Your Router
1. Pull down the Apple Menu. Click
“Control Panels”
and select
TCP/IP.
2. In the TCP/IP window, your new settings will be shown. Verify that your IP address is now
192.168.1.xxx,
Subnet Mask is
255.255.255.0
and Default Gateway is
192.168.1.1
