Connect your computer to the modem router.

Method 1: Wired

Connect your computer’s Ethernet port to the LAN port on the modem router Archer

D9 via the Ethernet cable.

Method 2: Wirelessly

Use the default SSID (Wireless Network Name) and Wireless Password printed on the

product label of the modem router to connect wirelessly.

Method 3: Use the WPS button

Wireless devices that support WPS, including Android phones, tablets, most USB

network cards, can be connected to your router through this method. (WPS is not

supported by IOS devices.)

Note:

The WPS function cannot be configured if the wireless function of the router is disabled. Also, the WPS function will

be disabled if your wireless encryption is WEP. Please make sure the wireless function is enabled and is configured

with the appropriate encryption before configuring the WPS.

Tab the WPS icon on the device’s screen.

Immediately press the WPS button on your modem router.

The WPS LED flashes for about two minutes during the WPS process.

When the WPS LED is on, the client device has successfully connected to the

modem router.

Log into Your Modem Router

With a Web-based utility, it is easy to configure and manage the Archer D9 AC1900

Wireless Dual Band Gigabit ADSL2+ Modem Router. The Web-based utility can be used

on any Windows, Macintosh or UNIX OS with a Web browser, such as Microsoft Internet

Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Apple Safari.

Follow the steps below to log into your modem router.

If the TCP/IP Protocol on your computer is set to the static (fixed) IP address, you

need to change it to obtain an IP address automatically.

Launch a web browser and type in

http://tplinkmodem.net

or

. Set

a strong password using 1-15 characters and click

Save

.

Enter the password you set and click

Log in

.

Note:

For subsequent logins, you only need to enter the password that you have set to log in.

Set Up Internet

Connections

This chapter introduces how to connect your modem router to the Internet. The

modem router is equipped with a web-based Quick Setup wizard. It has many ISP

information built in, automates many of the steps and verifies that those steps have

been successfully completed. Furthermore, you can also set up an IPv6 connection if

your ISP provided IPv6 service.
