Wi-Fi
The
Broadcast Network Name (SSID)
check box enables or disables the SSID broadcast feature.
•
If this is
enabled
(checked), MiFi 4620L's wireless network appears in the
Available Wireless
Networks
list on your computer or portable device.
•
If this is
disabled
(un-checked), the MiFi 4620L is not listed and its network name (SSID) must
be typed manually to connect a device.
The
Privacy Separation
check box enables or disables the privacy separation feature.
•
If this is
enabled
(checked), Wi-Fi users are isolated from each other.
•
If this is
disabled
(un-checked), Wi-Fi users are not isolated from each other.
The
Available Wi-Fi connections
menu displays the total number of Wi-Fi connections available and
allows you to set how many computers or other devices can simultaneously connect to the MiFi
device's Wi-Fi network.
•
When your 4610L device is operating over the 4G LTE network, up to ten devices can be
connected to the device’s Wi-Fi network, and when operating over a 3G or GSM network, up
to five devices can be connected.
•
The dynamic hand-off feature ensures that all connected devices will remain connected if
the device switches between 4G LTE, 3G and GSM networks due to coverage availability.

Router
The
VPN Passthrough enable
check box enables or disables the VPN Passthrough feature.
•
If this is
enabled
(checked), this feature allows VPN clients to connect through MiFi 4620L to
remote VPN Servers. Normally, this option should be enabled.
•
If this is
disabled
(un-checked), VPN clients are not allowed to connect.
The
USB tethered mode
check box enables or disables the USB tethered mode feature.
•
If this is
enabled
(checked), this feature allows connection through MiFi 4620L in tethered
mode as well as in Wi-Fi. In order to use this feature on Mac or Windows, click

to open the Help dialog window to select and install the required device driver.
NOTE
This is the same link to use to select and install the device driver for GPS Over Wi-Fi.

If this setting is
disabled
(un-checked), connecting a USB cable from the MiFi device to
your computer will only provide power to the MiFi device. Normally, this option should be
disabled.

GPS Over Wi-Fi
The
GPS over Wi-Fi (NMEA)
check box enables or disables the GPS Wi-Fi feature. To set-up GPS over
Wi-Fi, follow these steps:

The
Automatic Shutdown
menu changes the amount of time that expires before the device
automatically shuts down.
The
Turn Off Display
menu changes the amount of time that expires before the display turns off.
The
Enable
Logs
check box enables or disables the System log feature.

If this is
enabled
(checked), you can view the system log on the Diagnostics screen. (See
Diagnostics
on page 72.)
•
If this is
disabled
(un-checked), you cannot view the system log on the Diagnostics screen.
The
Delete System Log
menu changes the amount of time that expires before the system log is
deleted.
