4.14.9 Firmware Upgrade
Before upgrading your router firmware, you need to install the Router Tools. The
Firmware
Upgrade Utility
is included in the tools. The following web page will guide you to upgrade
firmware by using an example. Note that this example is running over Windows OS
(Operating System).
Download the newest firmware from DrayTek's web site or FTP site. The DrayTek web site
is www.draytek.com (or local DrayTek's web site) and FTP site is ftp.draytek.com.
Click
System Maintenance>> Firmware Upgrade
to launch the Firmware Upgrade Utility.
Click
OK
. The following screen will appear. Please execute the firmware upgrade utility
first.

4.14.10 Activation
There are three ways to activate WCF on vigor router, using
Service Activation
Wizard

means of
CSM>>Web Content Filter Profile
or via
System Maintenance>>Activation
.
After you have finished the setting profiles for WCF (refer to
Web Content Filter Profile
),
it is the time to activate the mechanism for your computer.
Click
System Maintenance>>Activation
to open the following page for accessing
Activate via Interface
Choose WAN interface used by such device for activating
Web Content Filter.
Activate
The
Activate
link brings you accessing into
www.vigorpro.com to finish the activation of the account and
the router.
Authentication Message
As for authentication information of
web filter
, the process of
authenticating will be displayed on this field for your
reference.
Below shows the successful activation of Web Content Filter:

Activate via interface
Use the drop down menu to choose the interface for accessing the
server.
Status
Display the mechanism adopted by such router.
Start Date
Display the starting date of WCF license activated successfully.
Expire Date
Display the ending date of WCF license activated successfully.

4.15 Diagnostics
Diagnostic Tools provide a useful way to
view
or
diagnose
the status of your Vigor router.
Below shows the menu items for Diagnostics.
4.15.1 Dial-out Trigger
Click
Diagnostics
and click
Dial-out Trigger
to open the web page. The internet connection
(e.g., PPPoE, PPPoA, etc) is triggered by a package sending from the source IP address.
Decoded Format
It shows the source IP address (local), destination IP (remote)
address, the protocol and length of the package.
Refresh
Click it to reload the page.

Resolution Protocol) cache held in the router. The table shows a mapping between an
Ethernet hardware address (MAC Address) and an IP address.
