WWAN Menu
Service Updates
The Service Updates section allows you to update your
Preferred Roaming list and your network profile, and
access diagnostic information.
Click
Update PRL
to update your Preferred
Roaming List.

about your Internet connection and the device.

in the WWAN menu to access status information
about your 4G Internet connection and your device.
Tip:
You should update your PRL about every three months to
make sure you have the latest enhancements from Sprint.

The 4G Screen
The 4G screen is divided into three sections:
4G Network
4G Modem
Traffic Counters
4G Network
The 4G Network section displays the following:
4G Network
— available or disabled.
Network Operator
— name of your network operator.
RSSI
— measurement in dBm of signal strength.
BSID
— the number of biometrics secured
identification devices available or connected.
CINR
— carrier to interface and noise ratio
measurement in dBm.
TX Power
— measurement of power transmitted in
dBm.
Center Frequency
— displays whether a center
frequency (midpoint between the upper and lower
cutoff frequencies) point has been set.
Preamble
— the number of preambles detected by
the access point.
NSP-ID
— the number of network service provider
identifiers detected.
NAP-ID
— the number of network access point
identifiers detected.
4G Modem
The 4G Modem section displays the following:
Package Version
— the current package version.
Firmware Version
— the current firmware version.
Library Version
— the current library version.

Driver Version
— the current driver version.
MAC Address
— the current media access control
address.
Traffic Counters
The 4G Traffic Counters section displays the following
information for the current session only and does not
show cumulative data over multiple sessions:
Start Date
— the month, day and year of inception of
the current session.
Total Connection Time
— the duration of the current
connection.
Data Received
— the number of bytes received.
Data Transmitted
— the number of bytes transmitted.
Total Data
— the total data received and transmitted.
Settings
Click

in the WWAN menu to access Internet
and network connection options for your device.
The WWAN Settings screen is divided into

This section should be used for informational purposes
only and should not be relied upon for billing data.

Connection Options
The Connection Options section displays the following:
Auto-connect enable
– check to set your device to
automatically connect to the Internet.
Allow Guest users to manually connect to the internet
check to allow guests to connect to the Internet.
Enable the WWAN log
– check to activate the event
log. (See “WWAN Log” on page 28.)
Manual Configuration/Data Link Setup
– click to
manually configure connection options or to
configure Data Link Setup.
Network Options
The Network Options section displays the following:
WWAN Mode
– select from 3G, 4G, 3G Preferred, or
4G Preferred.
Failover Wait Time
– enter the number of seconds for
the device to scan for 4G before going to 3G.
Switchback Wait Time
– enter the number of seconds
for the device to wait before rescanning for 4G.
Roaming
– select
Automatic
or
Home network
only
.
Allow International Roaming
– check to allow
international roaming.
Note:
The Data Link Setup option is generally applicable to
corporate enterprise users configuring connection
options for multiple users.

Router Menu
The Router Menu (page 35)
The Router menu allows you to configure your Port
Filtering and Port Forwarding options, manage TCP/IP,
and enable or disable VPN Passthrough.
The Router Menu
The Router Menu is divided into four sections:
Port Filtering
— use to specify which applications can
access the Internet and through which port(s).
Port Forwarding
— use to specify which applications
can access your computer through the Internet
and through which port(s) (e.g., if you have an FTP
server on your system or play certain online games).
TCP/IP
— use to view or change the IP Address and
subnet mask for your device and to view the MAC
address and DHCP address range for your device.
Settings
— use to enable or disable VPN Passthrough.

Router Menu
Note:
If your device switches from the 3G network to the 4G
network during a VPN session, that session will be
disconnected and you will need to reconnect to your
VPN on the new network.
